To supplement his many years of private instruction, he performed with the symphonic band and orchestra during middle and high school. He was a member of the award-winning and nationally respected Hilliard Davidson High School drum line, playing marching snare all four years, participating in many solo, ensemble, indoor/outdoor marching band & drumline competitions. Upon graduation, he returned the next 4 years as an instructor for the Hilliard drum line; an experience that he sites as being extremely valuable in shaping even further his love of percussion and music. Over the last 15 years or so Michael has been a member of several rock, pop and jazz/funk bands such as Level 205, Second Hand Psychos, Breezeway, Sonic Tribe, Seven for Eden and the international act Bobby D and the Ivory Cats.

He has also played numerous sessions and stand-in gigs with a variety of bands, orchestras and ensembles. Currently he is performing live as the percussionist for the alternative/goth/industrial band "the.untermensch.denial" and busy presenting drum clinics, giving private lessons and producing his own DJ/Drumming live show to support his debut CD "Hands Up".
