The single was a huge success. The band, named Shu-bi-dua, were originally to have been a one-off achievement, but instead they released an album called Shu-bi-dua. The success continued, and Michael Bundesen was the lead singer until 1984, when he was offered a job as program director at the then new TV station Kanal 2 in Copenhagen. In 1987, Bundesen went back to Shu-bi-dua, and has been with them ever since. From his first marriage he has two children, whose names are Nanna and Nicholas.
