An adequate location was finally found in the old city of Jaffa, by the Tel-Aviv coastline, near an ancient fishermen’s harbor, a perfect location that used to be a storage area and has been refitted and turned into a 400 seat theater. The Mayumana House, as the theater has been named, is the heart of Mayumana's activity in Israel and has turned into one of the most active theaters in the Tel-Aviv area, featuring over 2000 Mayumana shows and other Mayumana productions. By November 2006, the Mayumana group had accumulated eight and a half years of intensive activity, staging over 5000 shows, for more then 4 million spectators worldwide. From 2000 – 2006, Mayumana successfully toured the world, performing repeatedly in over 30 countries. In fact, Mayumana is constantly on tour and in the past 6 years there has been a Mayumana show (usually two or more) almost every evening, performing somewhere around the world. The show undergoes an ongoing process of artistic evolution.
As a result, the audience comes back for more, with many coming to see the show for a second and third time. With more than two million tickets sold in Europe, one million in Israel, 700,000 in South America, and more than half a million in Asia and other countries around the world, Mayumana has proven that it can penetrate domestic markets, making the name Mayumana a locally known brand name that stands for international talent, theater, fun and a cool trendy image. In addition to the Mayumana show, the Mayumana organization has developed new live entertainment concepts, expanding its activities to the children's market segment with the successful show ADRABA which is performing internationally, and lately with a unique and new concept show - BEJUNTOS which features cooperation between Mayumana and an accomplished international singer/songwriter performing “Mayumana's interpretation” of the artist’s greatest hits. The first of these shows was successfully launched in March 2006 at Mayumana House and has played over 150 sold out shows within 7 months. In addition to all these activities Mayumana has performed in various TV commercials and international corporate events and is developing content for internet and cellular service providers worldwide. Mayumana's primary objective has always been to present the Mayumana show in New York. This ambition was a driving force behind motivating all the people involved in Mayumana over a span of nine years.
Starting out in a small Tel-Aviv basement, and growing to become a international entertainment enterprise, Mayumana was always in a “New York state of mind”. In February 2007 Mayumana will begin its activity in New York with an international cast of talents chosen from 9000 candidates who auditioned worldwide, thus achieving its goal to perform in New York.
