Belonging to the elite Crate Cartel crew, Maundz is surrounded by a support network of stoic men with strong spirits and an outstanding yet unconventional work ethic. The intuitive approach applied to every project the Cartel take on, is what has assisted them to produce such consistently unique, purist material. Zero's production is handled entirely by the fastidious Wik, another lethal weapon from the Crate Cartel armoury. Throughout the album, the duo has managed to create the kind of sonic congruency only achieved after extensive collaboration. A virtuoso working-class linguist; Maundz primes his rhymes with lightly cryptic pop-culture references, breathing fire into the revelations of the every-man.
Zero is littered with impressive names, featuring collaborative efforts from New York's number one man of the moment Action Bronson, ARIA award winning Drapht, Golden Era's Vents and Sesta, Melbourne kings Brad Strut and Bias B, and of course Crate Cartel. Lead single 'Take It Back' features the legendary Bias B, full of nostalgic imagery and vintage beats and cuts. The track revisits cultural icons of the 80's and 90's. Its accompanying cameo-rich music video gained an extensive amount of exposure within weeks of its release. Read more on Last.fm.
