There used to be a time when musicians were not afraid to dare, Mary Ocher is a proud bright link in that chain. Born in Moscow, former Soviet Union in 1986, bred in Tel Aviv, currently resides in Berlin. Ocher recorded "War songs" in early 2009 at home and re-recorded the very same album for the Berlin/Cologne label Haute Areal in 2010, it was released on March 11th 2011 and soon followed by a sold-out 7" EP with 4 tracks on December 2nd 2011. Ocher recorded "War songs" in early 2009 at home and re-recorded the very same album for the Berlin/Cologne label Haute Areal in 2010, it was released on March 11th 2011 and soon followed by a sold-out 7" EP with 4 tracks on December 2nd 2011. "EDEN", the next full-length release, produced by the impeccable King Khan was released on June 14 2013 on Hamburg's Buback, an American release followed in March 2014 on Hairy Spider Legs and Related Records. along with a two month coast-to-coast tour.

it is currently in its second edition. in October 2013, appeared the "I, Human" remixes EP and in April 2015 the double anthology - ''The Fictional Biography of Mary Ocher - The home recordings (2006​-​2015)''. in July a limited edition 7'' came out with Ocher's New-Tribalism band/drum duo Your Government - the full length self titled album was released in January 2016 on Faust's label Klangbad. In 2016 Two songs for a 10'' soundrack curated by Sean Lennon were released on his label Chimera Music. By 2016 Ocher has toured all of Europe from the UK to Russia and North America (three times), SE Asia, AU and NZ. In 2017 the "Arms remixed" compilation was released, followed by "The West Against The People" in March, it was recorded in the Faust Studio with Hans Joachim Irmler for Klangbad, and features an essay, solo tracks, tracks with Your Government, as well as collaborations with Die Toedlice Doris and Felix Kubin. A further collaboration with Julia Kent shall be revealed.

Other facts: Known for outsider-driven ironic lyrics and social critique, and a rather wide vocal range.
