Mansum Ibrahimov (Azerbaijani: Mənsum İbrahimov) is a singer from Azerbaijan. He graduated from Baku Music College and Azerbaijan State University of Art and Culture. Since 1985 he works at the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Although he made his debut with secondary roles, Ibrahimov presently performs title roles in most of performances, such as Majnun in ‘Leyli and Majnun,’ Garib in ‘Ashig Garib.’ Jamal in ‘Gelin Gayasy,’ Azan Singer in ‘Sevil’. In 2003, he performed the role of Khanende in the opera ‘Natavan’. Along with his opera career Mansum Ibrahimov is also a brilliant performer of national songs and Mugams as well as the songs by modern composers. He regularly participates at the state concerts and anniversaries. He represented the art of Azerbaijan Mugam in such countries as Iran, Turkey, Iraq, France, Luxembourg, Greece, Cyprus, the USA and Canada. Ibrahimov is also involved in pedagogical activity, spending great efforts in bringing up young masters of Mugam in Azerbaijan National Conservatory and its Music College. His alumni already participate successfully at national music contests.
