They joined other dark 1980s punk bands, including Xmal Deutschland, TSOL, and UK Decay, in the underground scene of the time. 2) Madhouse was a four-piece instrumental funk/jazz fusion band masterminded by Prince and consisting of his cohorts Eric Leeds, John Lewis, Levi Seacer Jr., and Matt Fink. In 1987, they released two albums: 8 and 16.

All tracks were titled by their track number: e.g., One, Two, etc. Both albums carry eight tracks. 3) Madhouse was an early 1970s funk outfit led by Gary 'Mudbone' Cooper, who would later co-found Bootsy's Rubber Band with legendary P-Funk bassist Bootsy Collins. Madhouse churned out a mix of heavy rock-infused funk, a la early Funkadelic, and spaced-out soul jazz jammings. Their 1972 album, Serve 'Em, a righteous anti-Richard Nixon treatise, is now highly collectible. 4) MadHouse is a Brazilian band with jazz, blues and rock influences. In 2006, Brazilian singers Lio Junior and Thiago Casarejos got together, with the yearn to make a different kind of music and created MadHouse, a blend of image and sound mixing styles, esthetics, personality and musical genres. In 2009 they realized the struggle it was to keep musicians with their same ideas, style and ambitions, so the band became a duo.

This decision allowed them to take the lead on their projects from music style, costumes, stage design and musical arrangements in their shows. During this period jazz and blues became a fundamental part of the blend of musical styles that influence MadHouse. In 2015 they went to Ibiza for the European Summer season. The Spanish seaside resort is very disputed and considered to be the temple of music by artists all over the world. They had working contract with the main luxury hotels in the island and took this opportunity to release a demo of their first single in English that was recorded in Brazil.

“Vendetta” was the subject of the interview on Global Radio and White Radio, the two main radio stations in Ibiza. The duo was then highlighted in the cultural column of the newspaper Diário de Ibiza, where they talked about their stay on the island. With their charisma, talent and musicality, MadHouse opens up its way to the current phonographic market aiming not only Brazil, but the entire globe. After the release of the demo version of the song “Vendetta” in Ibiza and back in Brazil, MadHouse prepares for the release of the song in the country and dedicates to recording an EP. Influenced by soul, rock, electronic music and the music genres that projected them in Sao Paulo – jazz and blues – the duo that recently shot the music video for “Vendetta” is already negotiating the return for a second season in Ibiza.
