Dane Grant wins any crowd over with his performance on the highland bagpipes and tin whistle. Randy MacDonald boasts of an experienced drummer adding those touches of the bodran drum. David Hoare can be heard strumming the deep chords of the bass guitar, adding the incredible depth to the overall sound MacKeel creates. Award winning electric and acoustic fiddler, Fleur Mainville plays with a unique style that leaves any fan totally enthralled and drawn in.
The album features ten songs, consisting of five MacKeel arrangements of traditional tunes and five original compositions. Their impressive original material demonstrates even further the talent this group has, as the Celtic music they write and play comes true to them as nearly every member is of Scottish descent. Their combined talents create a new and unique sound, adding a 90's style to many of the traditional tunes that have become synonymous with East Cost music. Featuring special guest appearances by some of the East Coast's most renowned musicians, including Ian McKinnon (Rawlins Cross), Scott Long ( Ashley MacIsaac's Band The Kitchen Devils) on bagpipes, and Ryan MacNeil ( Slainte Mhath) on keyboards. MacKeel,……..a talented, six piece, Celtic pop band whose sound you won't soon forget…..
