Madrigaïa has had the honour of performing before personages of note and royalty, and has received recognition and accolades from its peers and professionals of the musical industry, such as producers Sergio Natureza (Brazil), Norman Dugas and Don Benedictson, composer Stephen Hatfield, performers Jane Siberry, Kiran Ahluwalia and The Toronto Tabla Ensemble and artistic director Louis Saint-André. Over several years, Madrigaïa has toured across Canada from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island, and performed in the U.S.A., France, Switzerland, and South America. In May 2006, Madrigaïa had the honour of travelling to Haiti for the inauguration of Haitian President Mr. René Préval. Madrigaïa performed before Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and for a festive, cheering crowd of nearly one hundred thousand Haitian people.
Their debut album, Viva Voce (2002) won a Canadian Independent Music Award (2003), in the Best World Music Album category.
