After the first single "A few drinks, a few laughs" released in 2004, they began to be seen and heard more and more on the Swedish indie scene. The band sign up by Hit in Yo Soul and released her debut album the following year. Lars Nordgren had stopped and been replaced by Therese "Tammy" Karlsson. "Youth is for the old" were warmly received at all by both press and audience. With songs like "A few drinks, a few laughs", "Dowland" and "Forever young, forever poor" maintained the traditional pop music while they sent it to a more modern sound. Since then, the band focused on new material and also toured in Spain, where they have a loyal audience.
Carl-Magnus Berger and Andrew Hartman has since stopped and Fredrik Eriksson added. The new album "Open Your Arms", released in February 2010 by Hello Music. The album contains twelve short but pithy songs that hopefully will put the Lucknow Pact on the map again as one of Sweden's most interesting and promising pop bands. Read more on Last.fm.
