Under the veneer of sunny synths and burnished production lurks a sly cheekiness that makes tracks like “Cool Kids” (mixed by Niklas Flyckt, Miike Snow, Robyn & Britney Spears) or the otherwordly electro-boogie of “Let Me In” mixed by Peter Mokran (Snoop Dogg, Christina Aguilera) more than just dancefloor anthems. Their lyrics delve not only into time-honored themes such as love, but also wrestle with the isolated feeling of being the underdog as well as sneak in the occasional jab at “the scene.” Debut album due out early 2014. 2) Lost Weekend, UK The band have been together for 15 years. They are made up of musicians who over the last 25 years have rocked the stages of Britain, Europe and the world.
With the resurgence in guitar based music the band have been in huge demand, indeed they have performed along side the likes of Gotthard, TNT, Dokken, Magnum, Saxon, Wishbone Ash, Jeff Scott Soto and Winger etc, in fact the list reads like a who's who of rock. It was around the release of their third opus "New Religion" that legendary Magnum vocalist Bob Catley invited the band to support him on his solo tour of Britain and Europe for which the band again impressed from the start, this resulted in the band being asked to write Bob Catley's next solo album Spirit Of Man. The album as received worldwide critical acclaim, and again the band was invited to tour with Catley. In November 2006 the band released their fourth album, the acclaimed Forever Moving On.
The band spent 2007 promoting the latest album with appearances at some of England's premier rock festivals to great effect. With a slight change in personnel the band are now a twin guitar based band resulting in a heavier sound more akin to the likes of the Scorpions, UFO and Thunder to name a few. If you have not seen this band live with there current line-up you have not seen this band at all. With four studio albums plus a compilation albums already on sale around the world & the band having just released their new album on Escape titled "Fear And Annocence", the band goes from strength to strength.
3) In the tumbleweed summer of 2006, established songwriter, Richard Quigley, began his search for criminalized and wrongly accused band mates. So, the old western city of Seattle spat out fellow collaborator, Scott Baxter. The two immediately found a likeness in their sound--that of the lonely outlaw, hopin' to find Lady Luck in that next big gold rush. Months of practice and writing went by, until Rich and Scott came across bassist-sharpshooter, Bart Cameron. As a member of the Icelandic group, The Foghorns, Bart finally made Lost Weekend into an outfit, with cold hard experience and proper wagon stories. Now, in these new days, Lost Weekend are coming down from the woods, into city watering holes, bringing with 'em timely and tunely gifts of lost loves and loves regained, and maybe, a few bits of gold. 4) Popular russian indie-group successfully performed in Russia, CIS and Baltic. 5) Indie-alternative rock group based in Locust Valley, New York, comprising of drummer Richie Straub, lead guitarist and vocalist Nick Mihaltses, bassist Pete Barell, and guitarist and main vocalist Zach Rowe.
On January 7, 2011, Lost Weekend released an EP titled "Wake Up." Lost Weekend has played at a variety of venues such as the Vibe Lounge in Rockville Centre, New York, a popular venue that frequently features local bands and artists.
