Lisa loves to be an emergency substitute and is frequently called to step in for concerts and theatrical productions. Lisa appeared on Pinetop Perkins’ Grammy-nominated CD, “Ladies Man”, after his hand was injured in an accident with a train. She also acts as music director and pianist for local, regional and national theatre productions, teaches music for K-12 at Kino School in Tucson, and presents workshops at schools around the world. Lisa produces a season of concerts in Tucson, including the Lisa Otey & Friends and Piano Night series at the historic Z Mansion; the Boogie Woogie Blowout, a festival which features 4 internationally known boogie woogie piano players; Lisa Otey and the Desert Divas, a group of six jazz, blues, r&b, and soul singers; Hot Love for Valentines, a delicious and decadent cabaret which tickles all your fancies; and Jazz Meets Blues, a magical meeting of jazz and blues musicians.
