By approaching the fanbase and their personal network, the band delivered a professional and complete product. On the 20th of juli 2012, Life's Electric officially released their debut album at Ekko in Utrecht (NL). The start of a new adventure. “There’s a big group of people that really believe in us, and that want to contribute in all sorts of ways. Which is Freakin’ awesome!” Lead singer Ferry van der Woude. Aside from the financial aspect, the crowdfunding approach resulted in a high involvement from their fan base. Amongst other things, this was the reason the band was able to do their first gig in a packed 013 (one of Netherlands major venues) and it resulted in a collaboration with two musical magnitudes and personal heroes of the band members in the process of creating ‘Trust me I’m a doctor’. Music producer Jonas Filtenborg (who worked with such acts as Alain Clark and Beef) turned out to be very charmed by the band.
After the band recorded one song with him, he immediately offered to handle all recordings and the artistic guidance for a full-length album. After that, the mastering engineer; Brad Blackwood (who worked with such acts as Maroon 5 and ZZ-Top) turned out to be interested as well! He took care of the entire mastering process. Full of energy, originating from the south of The Netherlands, Life’s Electric is ready for a new chapter as they’ll be releasing their first album. The craving for raw energy has never been this strong! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
