The organ-based jazz funk of Leslie Nielsen can be seen as the European answer to the New York jam band scene. Their instrumental music is soaked with soul is dripping with whipping rhythms, driving guitar riffs and screaming organ sounds. Shortly after their foundation in Rotterdam, NL in 2003 they already played the biggest stages in Holland and toured the urban funk clubs in Germany with the famous DJ Soulrabbi. In 2006 they performed at the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam. Recently the band decided to occasionally expand the solid fundament of Hammond organ, guitar and drums with upcoming soul diva Shirma Rouse and the always-killing Leslie Horns. Leslie Nielsen take their music beyond the essence of the black music and know how to create a musical energy on stage, which is undoubtedly addictive to everyone in the audience.
