With a background as guitarist/vocalist in deceased stoner/heavy-rock-band Volcanic, one would think that the solo efforts of Leif Elverstig would be one of fuzzy guitars and heavy grooves, but actually, that couldn't be further from the truth. Instead, what emerged was mellow and soft singer-songwriter-influenced indie pop, taking influence from both oldtimers such as Neil Young as well as newer, electronic acts. Going from melancholy into hopeful bliss, the soundscapes that are painted by the music are not one-dimensional ones. Violins, xylophones, pianos, clarinets and the occasional electronic beat are not rare occurances, even though the centre they spin around most of the time is Leif's own guitar and voice.

There is sadness, longing and heartache as well as joy and dreamy happiness in the music, or as he puts it himself on his homepage: "A boy in a rural town, some far away friends, and a whole heap of heartbreak".
