Toronto’s LOZ is fronted by Jade Lamarche (vocals/bass) who worked with writer Luis Figueroa (guitar/vocals) in previous musical collaboration “Bound Ether” in 2004. Adding DJ/entrepeneur/remixer Derek Edward’s blazing lead guitar/vocals, and hard-hitting drummer Adam Boyle (formerly with The Assistants) completed the Left of Zero line-up. Their sound cross-pollinates the influences of Radiohead, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Metric and Alice in Chains, among others occasionally less prominent. Together, they have created an explorative, yet accessible pop/rock sound that is reminiscent of these classics of the past and present, yet weaves a fresh set of strong pop sensibilities and thought provoking lyrics that draws on the creativity of rock, pop, jazz and even folk masterminds.

Blame the Gun is preceded by a self-titled full-length and their self-produced debut EP. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
