After some time of no action within the band, things started to happen in late 2008, when drummer Loke (Malachord, Poze, Ohmeon, Sjokk) and soundscaper Morten (Carve Canem) joined the band. Additional members soon followed, as Kjartan (Poze, Ohmeon) and Alexander (Poze, In Confesso) joined on guitar and bass. Christer (Clown) was hired as main vocalist, but unfortionately he had to part ways with the band before he even got started, due to lack of time, and Morten abandoned ship soon thereafter. However, the mic was not vacant for long, as Daniel (In Confesso, Poze, Sjokk) joined the ranks in February 2009. The sound was (and still is) meant to be fairly simple, groove-oriented hardcore with melodies and some electronic noise thrown in.
Leadsledge is not about reinventing the steel, it's about using it properly. The music is a result of what has inspired the members over the years, and is first and foremost created to please the ears of it's makers, regardless of how it's perceived by the public. 2012: After the first album "Vices & Values" was released late 2011, new material quickly took shape, and work began with producing new music for immediate release. 7 new songs were created, to be released as two separate EP's named "Epilog pt.I" (due out in september 2012) and "Epilog pt.II" (due out in November 2012). Again the band took care of the recording process, with Loke mixing and mastering on his own this time. During the first half of 2012 Daniel decided to part with the band to pursue other musical adventures.
The split was in good spirit and without drama. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
