Formed in Glasgow in the Autumn of 2002, Latonic originally consisted of Grant Nicol (vocals), Andy Pollard (guitar), Ally Donaldson (drums and vocals) and Jay Connelly (bass). Brought together from several different paths and fated coincidences, the original four-piece took to the studio to work on some newly crafted songs, resulting in the band's debut EP, "What`s Your Poison?". Shortly after this, the band added guitarist Stuart Greig to the lineup. In 2004, Latonic released the Half Life EP, a 5 track rock-out, featuring popular songs Fall Into Me and Half Life. During early 2005 the band's musical direction started to shift towards a darker, dance-oriented sound.

Recording sessions during the summer resulted in a deal with Horus Music, and the single Turn On The Sky, b-sided with Don't Say and a Union of Knives remix Turn On The Sky (Remix). A selection of other songs were also cut, and are available here as the Cold and Beautiful EP, though this was not an official Latonic release. Jay Connelly left the band in September 2005, and now plays for Kurai Kotoro. Stuart took this opportunity to switch to bass guitar, and the band recruited Mark Gierelo on guitar and vocals. Second single Twisted Devotion was released in February 2007, and the band are currently working on their debut album.
