Last Week

Last Week was a band started in 1998 in Lawrence, NY. The original 4 members; Ido Zmishlany, Matthew Reich, Neal Saini, and Yaniv Packin met in high school. Last Week was a band started in 1998 in Lawrence, NY. The original 4 members; Ido Zmishlany, Matthew Reich, Neal Saini, and Yaniv Packin met in high school. They started out playing at temples and bowling alleys. Soon enough, they found themselves with the 4th most downloaded song in the country as charted by Billboard Magazine after they did a live performance on Sessions at AOL.

In the summer of 2004, Yaniv decided to leave the band to pursue his college dreams. Michael Sherman soon joined the band to take his place. After touring for a year they found a spot on the Vans Warped Tour (04, 05), they toured with bands like Maroon 5, The Click Five, Sugarcult, Fall Out Boy. They had their single, "Unpredictable," in regular rotation at WHTZ NY - Z100 the largest radio station in the country.

They were regular guests on their morning show, which had 3-6 million listeners. That summer they played on their annual summer concert, Zootopia, at the Continental Airlines Arena. Later that summer they went on tour for 3 weeks with Marion Raven (1 Japan, Atlantic Records) throughout Thailand, Taiwan, The Philippines and Japan. After spending more and more time together as a band, their friendships started to strain. They began working on a new record by the end of summer 05 and found that they had grown apart and were interested in different music styles.

Ido decided that it was time to pursue his music dreams apart from the band so he left the band to start a project he now calls Lion of Ido. Last Week played its last show in April of 2006. Matt, Neal, and Sherman have since started the Lights Resolve. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
