Lambrusco Kids is a Brazilian band from Sao Paulo city, the 4th largest city in the world with 17 million people. LK (as they are known in Brazil) was formed in 1999 and since 2003 they have been experiencing a tremendous success, becoming a top act in the country. The band is formed today by Marcio Faveri (vocal), Marcelo Villa (guitar), Rodrigo Caggegi (bass) and Paulo Vinicius (drums). Much more than a punk rock band, LK is a union of friends, that had one day the idea of forming a band just to play covers of worldwide famous punk bands, such as Buzzcocks, Cock Sparrer, Rezillos, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Ramones, Toy Dolls, among others.

That was the start in 1999, when the band was only a trio, with Marcio also playing the bass. On early 2000 Luiz Nordhausen joined the band as bass player and Marcio dedicated himself to his vocal duties only. Since then they started to write their own songs, adopting a very original and peculiar style. LK's songs bring the classic punk rock guitar riffs, allied with very intelligent lyrics in Portuguese, showing all its influences from the harmony, melody and energy, which contaminated the British rock in the late 70's.

The load of energy that these four guys bring to the stage when they perform is something to be seen by fans of punk rock of any origin or country. On January 2004 Luiz left the band and he was rapidily replaced by young Rodrigo Caggegi on bass. The band's influences range from the legends of classic punk rock like The Clash, The Boys, Buzzcocks, Cock Sparrer, Sham 69, The Adicts, Cockney Rejects, PTTB, Toy Dolls and The Jam, to the new front of the punk rock scene, represented by names like Dropkick Murphys, Voice of a Generation, The Briefs, Deadline, The Real McKenzies, Oxymoron, among other worldwide famous punk rock bands. Lambrusco Kids has already toured Brazil with British and American bands like GBH, The Lurkers, Millions of Dead Cops, The Queers, among others.

And they have also recorded some songs with special guests from Agnostic Front, UK Subs, Cock Sparrer and Peter & The Test Tube Babies. The band toured UK for the first time in May 2005, playing the main gig at WASTED Festival in Morecombe, sharing the stage at the Carleton, with bands like Demented Are Go, Pork Dukes, Coffin Nails, The Krays, among others. Wasted Festival 2005 also featured punk legends like Angelic Upstarts, The Undertones, PTTB, Rezillos, Chelsea, The Stranglers, UK Subs, GBH, The Exploited, TSOL, The Business, Varukers, etc. The other gigs in in UK was at The Rigger (Stoke/UK), at Dove and Rainbow Pub (Sheffield/UK), at The Engine Rooms (Brighton/UK + Peter & The Test Tube Babies) and at The Junction Pub (Burgess Hill/UK + Peter & The Test Tube Babies).

On November 2005 the band did 2 important shows in Brazil, with Olga from the Toy Dolls as special guest. It was the first time in history that Olga from The Toy Dolls appeared as special guest in a jam session with a band, playing Toy Dolls songs and other punk rock classics. The entire story can be seen at the Toy Dolls official website (www.thetoydolls.com), in the section Olga Talking, with the words from Olga himself, about his experience in Brazil with the Lambrusco Kids. In August 2006 the Lambrusco Kids played with the Vibrators in Brazil, and the band is also schedulled to play with the Toy Dolls and with the Rezillos, still in 2006 in Brazil.
