The catalan band La Banda del Yuyu started back in 1999 as a covers band. Some years later they started composing songs and published their first album in 2005 called like the band. In 2008 the independent label RGB Suports published their second album "Real" together with their first single "L'àngel" ("The Angel"). It came with a music video that was airplayed in the National TV where went to number 1 in the HitParade of "Ritmes.cat" show. After publishing the second cd they had the chance to support bands like Spin Doctors, Marc Ford (The Black Crowes, Ben Harper, Burning Tree),The Steepwater Band and Beasts Of Bourbon among others. They also had the chance to play in some of the most important festivals in Spain and France: BAM (Barcelona Acció Musical), Acampada Jove, Senglar Rock, Black Music Festival, Les Musicales del Rebelli. In 2009 they were selected from 1090 bands to participate in the european contest "XXI Concurso Pop Rock Villa de Bilbao" (Bilbao, Basque Country) were they took third place. After winning the third prize in Bilbao they started composing again on what had to be the third album of the band. In December 2010 they started recording the new album at "Ultramarinos Costa Brava Studios" in Sant Feliu de Guíxols with the prestigious producer Santi Garcia.

They called the album "Res per sempre" ("Nothing Lasts Forever") and was also published by RGB Suports. With the publication of the album in 2011 they started a tour along Spain and France that is still on. Read more on Last.fm.
