and picked up an unexpected amount of positive reactions. Though the song was released only a day before the festival gig we had, most of the crowd knew and sang the lyrics. Also, without the band being aware of it, the song ended up on a national radio urban music top list, reaching a high 3rd position and remaining there for 9 weeks. Shortly after the song was released, the bassist Toni left the band to pursue his dream of becoming a chemist. (Where he failed miserably).
But a young knight in shining armor called Roko Zanze, came to the rescue. With low enthusiasm, good looks and a rockstar attitude he jumped on a chariot of fire and began his journey in La Volpe. Though he played in shitty bands before, this was something else for him. Soon members started bonding and then creating more and more music. More and more shows came and went, 2 more singles were recorded, the band decided to take the big step. In the fall of 2016 La Volpe entered the studio to record their first studio album Way Away. 10 diverse original songs variating from grungy ”Hello Shallow”, dynamic ”BangBang” and a stoner rock ”Revolution”, to dark alternative ”Lullaby” and medieval rock sounding ”Vitium”, also containing a specificly preformed cover of Bowie’s everlasting ”Space Oddity” appear on the record. After the the album release the band seeks to conquer the known universe, live off selling shitty cd-s, make your mama moan and produce olive oil the old way.
