Kwang is a rock n' roll band from Minneapolis, MN. Kwang was formed in 2003 by John Knapper & Justin Marreel after meeting through a 'Musicians Wanted' ad in a Kansas City newspaper. Both moved on to the greener musical pastures of Minneapolis soon after. Kwang was then signed to Earl Root's Root of All Evil Records and began recording an EP. Kwang recorded & released their 5 song debut EP "Hung" in late 2004. Many shows followed, the highlights including local shows opening for Stephen Pearcy of RATT fame and Jackyl. Read more on Last.fm

Kwang entered the studio in 2006 to begin recording with producer Darren Jackson of Kid Dakota. Their new album, "For What It's Worth" (Release Date: May 19th, 2007), eclipses their earlier work, and shows the band stretching out into new territories other than straight ahead rock.
