The big American soul singers fascinated Kristine. She had a flexible voice and found encouragement in growing technically little by little. She left home and school in her late teens and moved to Copenhagen to find people she could work with both musically and business-wise. Being very young in an impenetrable business, she often found herself frustrated. She couldn't quite make her life as structured as she felt the need to. With 19 she signed her first record-deal with an English record company. She recorded an album working with producers such as Narada Michael Walden, Ric Wake and Peter Wolf.
It was a very educational time for her - not only as a singer, but also as a person. After finishing the album, she moved to London to prepare for the promotional work regarding the release. She never got to release the full album due to politics in the record company, but she released a few singles on a smaller label. They were chart as well as club-hits. She signed her second record deal a few years later and recorded an album produced by the Danish producer-team Cutfather&Joe. A couple of singles on this album achieved great airplay success in Denmark, England, Germany and in Holland. Up until then, her song writing had been sporadic. But after finishing years of promotional work, she decided to dedicate her time to finding her own musical expression.
During the last couple of years she has been writing songs by herself and with several co-writers. And even experienced songwriters are very impressed, when they hear her first attempts. Kristine is now closer than ever to complete a new album with her own songs. The album will be co-written and produced by Michael Mendel Stern, her new found musical soul mate.
