Kim English is an African American electronica and house music singer born in Chicago, Illinois. She has experienced a great deal of success on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts, beginning in the mid-nineties and continuing into the 21st century. Her first chart entry came in 1995 and was a minor hit ("I Know a Place," number thirty-two). Most of them have received moderate to high rotation on Rhythmic/Dance format radio stations.

The "Higher Things" album also features an excellent cover of Anita Baker's hit song, "Been So Long." English's long awaited sophomore album titled, "My Destiny" was released in late September 2006.
