Kickin' Bear is: Rob Swift - Lead Guitar Wayne Gallagher - Rhodes Piano/Keyboards Tom Williamson - Guitar Dan Boardman - Bass Guitar Eamonn Connor - Violin/Mandolin/Synth Chris Ingram - Drums Kickin’ Bear is a roots rock band living and gigging in West Philadelphia. Originally from Southern New Jersey, the band members have been playing music together for years, performing in different bands and projects. The Bear combines elements of Rock & Roll, Blues, Folk, and World Sound to create a unique musical experience that is classic in appeal yet fresh in content. The band moved to Philadelphia in the Fall of 2009, hoping to bring their music to a wider audience. Since then, they have booked gigs at many popular Philadelphia venues such as The North Star Bar, The Tritone, The Fire, The M-Room and Connie’s Ric-Rac.

Kickin’ Bear live shows have always been known as crowd pleasers, with soaring vocals and epic songs from Wayne Gallagher, mind bending guitar work from Rob Swift, and a wide assortment of interesting instruments appearing on stage such as Sitar, Violin, Mandolin, Banjo, Rhodes Piano, and more. Kickin’ Bear recently finished recording their first album, which will be available soon on iTunes, Amazon, and other music outlets. One-hundred percent self produced and recorded, the album attempts to recreate the sound of old 70’s vinyl by combing traditional recording methods and vintage instruments to produce a unique and retro sound.
