Kennidi Monroe was born in Lima, Ohio but after two months her parents moved to Houston, Texas. She grew up as a boy for most of her early life, formally known as Travis. Living as a troubled boy in a small baptist town made her the strong person she is today. At the age of seventeen, she started dressing up and at twenty-two she started to transition into the life she was meant to be, the life of a woman. If you are confuessed by now, don't be Kennidi is a pre-op transsexual. In May of 2008 Kennidi went into the studio to start recording her first dance album FOR. In July of 2008 she released her debut single Voluptuous Diva with rave reviews. In October of 2008 VD aired on Chicago radio station B96 on the Street Mixes. In December 2008 she released her second single from her anticipated album FOR, SK'N.

Which also played on the same radio station VD was on. The album was produced by Yaxkin Retrodisko and lyrics by Earnest Diaz. Kennidi says her music is a cross between Rupaul and Jeffree Star.
