She would put on shows with costumes, singing, and dance routines for family and friends. At age 7 she sang a solo (standing ovation) performance of “Seek Ye First” in church. Kelcy Lee at that point told her parents, “This is what I want to do, perform and sing”. From sixth to tenth grade, she took choir, and as a Freshman in highschool, she took Drama.
In 2007 she began professional vocal training with Madelene Capelle. At the end of 2009, Kelcy’s parents told her that she first had to graduate high school before moving to Nashville Tennessee, she decided to do things her way. So she graduated June 4th 2010 a whole two years ahead of schedule. This spunky teenager loves song writing, reading books, horseback riding, learning to play guitar, boogie boarding and most of all performing. Kelcy’s love for performing has given her an opportunity to open up for CMA Artist Darryl Worley, working Festivals, Fairs, Performing National Anthems for Rodeos and more. Kelcy Lees' parents, Curtis and Leah, also have two other daughters, of which Kelcy Lee is the middle child.
Kaela, the eldest is 19, and is the Navy. Christine is 14, and plays the drums in her high school band. A teacher once told her to consider a “real job” and her confident response was, “Singing is my life, my heart and my soul! You say its impossible and I say WATCH ME!” Read more on Last.fm.
