The album scored a moderate R&B hit "Hot Little Love Affair" which peaked at #39 on the R&B chart. Her sophomore titled, "Keisha" followed in 1991. The lead single "Mature Love" became a minor hit peaking at #80 on the R&B chart. After did not become a success, Keisha became a session vocalist at LaFace Records.
She worked on track with Bobby Brown, Toni Braxton, and Whitney Houston. She became involved with a Warner Bros. Records plan to create a group called Black Coffy and was signed to the project. However, the group was dropped before making any real recordings.
