Like her voice and like her soul, Katie’s lyrical poetry is unaffected beauty. She finds a way to make us feel pure and hopeful and reminds us that our souls indeed “belong in higher places.” Meanwhile grounded on terra firma, Katie first stretched her songwriting wings while fronting the band On Shoulders of Giants with Israeli metallers Avital Tamir and Idan Epshtein. Here, her influences in musical theatre, jazz, country/folk, and indie/punk rock surfaced and took flight. Their album release 'Come Crashing' was described as "highly listenable, emotive and dramatic, yet often darkly colored in cryptic musicianship." When not writing and recording, you’ll find Katie capturing Creation’s loveliness behind a camera lens or in the kitchen baking delicacies for her eager darling and fortunate friends.
She longs for the scent of puppy breath and waits impatiently for the next inspirational awakening that comes from the wind in the trees, calling of the birds, crashing of waves, and whisper of the breeze in a wheat field. www.katiedanielsonmusic.com Read more on Last.fm.
