Examples are: Paranoia, Schleim-Keim, die fanatischen frisöre, l'attentat, mandata, Skeptiker, planlos, Freygang and lots of other bands. At the early 80ies, Paranoia was founded. A lot of punks in Dresden still have a LP of them today, so it survived the first generation. Paranoia disbanded in the Mid-80ies because the ministers of culture didnt give them a concert permisson.

Which was very comon in the GDR, bands like schleim keim, l'attentat etc.. played all gig's "illegal" in the underground and in churches. They reformed in 1986 with a new singer. They kept a distance to the political punk, but they didn't forget their roots. After writing some new songs about the human thyself, they got permissons to play concert's in the GDR. With Songs like "Rudi" or "Kriegslied" they reported their opinion, but without consequences.

Kaltfront definated a new kind of punk. A few calls it Punk'n'Roll because you hear the influence of Rock'n'Roll. After a few changes in bandpositions the last singer Kannae fled '89 from Praque in the West and the rest of the band decided to disband. After the Reunion of Germany in 1990, they gave there last Concert at Dresdens "Scheune" (www.scheune.org) as support for "Die toten Hosen". In 2005, there was a tribute to Kaltfront at the GrooveStation (www.groovestation.de) with the "Free Little Pigs", who covered a whole CD of kaltfront.

And on that evening, there was Jörg, Micha, Jean and Tom, all together on the stage At the 9th of December 2005 they gave their official Reunion Concert. 500 people came. Now they tour around in Germany and show that they have something to say. The band is working on new songs and released a compilation CD http://k.altfront.de/ Read more on Last.fm.
