The first basic musical orientation was rather New School Hardcore, however, suddenly there came so many new ideas that they had to abandon this straight genre. About six months later they had their first gig in front of friends.

There were other appearances in Cologne, Essen, Freiburg and Mannheim. Furthermore, Kaishakunin preceded Planes Mistaken For Stars in Karlsruhe, Germany. In October 2006 they toured Germany (Offenburg, Dresden, Potsdam, Berlin and Landau) with their Italian friends of Forest Yell. Cast Sebastian Leist -drums Michael Diefenbacher- guitar Mirko Gütermann- bass Thomas Scheller– vocals Brian Heck- drums After the tour, Kaishakunin started to record their own demo EP in the Tidal Wave Studios in Karlsruhe. Frank Lemmert of Custom Recordings was in charge of the mixes and supervised some additional recordings.

For the final mastering they sent the recordings to Alan Douches (West West Side Music) in the US, who had also mastered e.g. Converge, Everytime I Die and Mastodon. www.myspace.com/thekaishakunin Read more on Last.fm.
