Consisting of three members, David Scurr, John Kamevaar and Thomas Handy, Kaiser Nietzsche was an experimental electronic music group connected with the Canadian industrial label Freedom In A Vacuum. The group emerged in the late 80s with the goal of combining modern electroacoustic sounds with older musique concrète-school. The name "Kaiser Nietzsche" refers to German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche's way of signing some of his letters "Kaiser Nietzsche" or "Nietzsche Caesar" in the late 19th century.
