Born in Hawai’i and raised in Los Angeles, K984 hails from the Los Angeles Underground Graffiti scene. Active since the late 1980s, he has been a member of Los Angeles’s graffiti crew “C2D” alongside Mear One,Rakaa Iriscience (Dilated Peoples), Black Silver (Analog Bros.) and legendary DJ Rob One (Zulu Nation). K984’s passion and creativity in painting murals gained him a spot at the California Institute of the Arts and at the University of the Arts in Berlin, where he studied filmmaking, music and fine arts. One of K984’s greatest successes came as early as 1988 when he painted what was probably the first Graffiti Burner in his mother’s home country, Lithuania, where he had spent several years. K984 mixes his Lithuanian heritage with his wide-ranging musical background (from Boombap Hiphop and metal to shamanic voice and opera) in his music projects such as Fungal Kingdom, Antimatter Cyclone, and Kimo Arbas. In his painterly take on music, he combines samples of traditional folk melodies and vocals, elements of industrial and metal with dark heavy electronic beats. K984 first appeared on the Ex-Vandalz EP “Industry Standard” (2005) and the album “Graffiti Brydge (Docile Takeover Vol. 1)” (2007) on such graffiti anthems as “Create 2 Devastate” (feat.

Rakaa Iriscience and Black Silver) and “Style Messiahs” (feat. Mek One, Deeskee and Perk). Since then, he has produced and released two albums of his own: “Urban Jungle Green Vol. 1 & Vol. 2.” He has shared the stage with Hiphop artists like Rakaa Iriscience (Dilated Peoples), Killah Priest (Wu-Tang, Sunz of Man), DJ Babu and Rhetmatic (Beat Junkies), DJ Rafik, Defari (Tha Alkoholiks), Awol, Vast Aire (Cannibal Ox / Def Jux), Fat Hed, Shapeshifters, Black Silver, DJ Vadim and others. In the words of Rakaa Iriscience, K984 “represents Los Angeles, California, as a true international king of hardcore creativity and excellence in Hiphop music, art and film.” Read more on Last.fm.
