Titled "Guru Yoga", the album features Tibetan chants performed by Penor Rinpoche (then-head of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism). Ward's music, co-produced by Philadelphia DJ Dr.Jesus, builds around the original field recordings, focusing on an ambient feel for the first third, and a more danceable sound on the last third. The middle section is entirely composed of unacompanied chanting, in Tibetan, by Rinpoche, and was intended as a daily practice guide for students of the Palyul lineage that Rinpoche heads to this day.
