Joanna Dark was born on May 23th 1986 in Sofia, Bulgaria in the family of professional musicians. She started playing drums at the age of six and also took piano lessons. Her musical carreer started in 1997 as a vocal and host of the popular kids TV show “Bon–Bon”. Pipkov”. Her career and education continued in the best possible way – she became a reporter of the TV show “Vischki pred ekrana” and a co-host of the 4-hours production “V nedelya s..”, both on the Bulgarian National Television. Besides, she studies drums and pop and jazz vocal in National Music Academy. She also started her music career as a percussionist in Kalin Veliov’s “Drum Show”.

Later she met Deep Zone and became a percussionist in the Deep Zone Big Band. In that time Deep Zone recorded singles with many different young and well-known Bulgarian singers. Soon Joanna dark became a permanent vocal of the project. Her first recorded single was “DJ, Take Me Away” – a massive hit in Bulgaria, which also won the Bulgarian Eurovision Song Contest.

Joanna recently was voted “Top 10 Sexiest vocals for 2008” and received a “Woman of the Year” nomination. Now Joanna Dark is ready with her debut solo single, called “I Can’t Breathe”.
