He won recognition by performing the oratorios and Passions of Heinrich Schütz, J.S. Bach, Georg Frideric Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Distler and many others as a soloist. Together with well-known choirs and ensembles he made concert journeys through Europe. For example, he sang in the St.
John’s Passion (BWV 245) of J.S. Bach in the Baltic States and in Moscow; further on with G.F. Handel’s Messiah in Vancouver, Canada. Together with the pianist Christoph Hinz, Joachim Duske produced in 1998 his first "solo - CD" with ‘Songs of the Romanticism’, he also sang the tenor part in the CD production of the Christmas oratorio (BWV 248) of J. S.
Bach together with the Madrigalchor Recklinghausen and the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen. He also is a member of Das Solistenensemble which produced several Chorale CDs together with Gerhard Schnitter. Numerous radio-, television- and CD recordings, performances of ‘Liederabende’ and private concerts with chamber music ensembles complete his artistic life. Joachim Duske is a member of the ´NDR Chor` in Hamburg and the ´Brahms Vokalquartett Hamburg`.
