Jimmy Silva died of chicken pox in the mid 90s at the age of 42. He left behind four albums of songs that range from personal experience to social commentary, from young adult angst to anger at society's ills, from sorrow to joy. His music is sometimes jangly, sometimes lively, sometimes literary, sometimes just plain fun. He had a nice sense of harmony and phrasing.

Those two things developed into his unique song writing style. He said that he grew up at a time when artists liked to make each song sound different, and he liked to try to make each song different than his others. His four albums were: Remanants of the Empty Set Fly Like a Dog Heidi (East Side Digital) Near the End of the Harvest (Pressed after his death, Pop LLama) Read more on Last.fm.
