J E B U S (formed 1/1/2012) is the polished persona of Sydney producer Joshua Matysek. Not a completely new face to the electronic world, he was originally part of the dynamic electronic duo AEONS. Advancing from the creative limitations of the prior, JEBUS is now able to shine, paramount with a luminous new sound, reflecting the heavens. JEBUS has released three singles, ‘Light my Love’ featuring his sister, Hannah Matysek, 'Carried Away' and 'Like a Star'; and has already gained outstanding reviews and support. With great luster, JEBUS will inevitably soar through 2012 and light the way. “Dug Jebus' old band Aeons and this is another bold step forward.
The pop factor has certainly been turned up with the vocal and driving synths just made for good times at summer festivals.” – Dave Ruby Howe (triple j) “Jebus… New pop secret identity, continuing to produce sparkling pop music… It's terribly good, too good not to share...” – Damian Nicholas (auspOp creator) Since AEONS, Josh has had the honour of supporting industry greats including KYLIE (Minogue), DJing at her 'Aphrodite - Les Folies Tour' in 2011 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, as well as Roxette, Lenny Kravitz and Florence and the Machine. As half of Aeons, Josh fashioned quite a name playing Parklife festival, recording tracks with personalities such as Russ Chimes and Diamond Cut, crafting official remixes for the likes of Lisa Mitchells, Amy Meredith, Grafton Primary, to name a few and sharing the stage with acts such as Skrillex, Grafton Primary and other pioneers in the electronic world. This experience has formed a sturdy platform from which he will only fly higher and higher! 2. Jebus is a North American, 3 piece band playing cross over music of rock, folk, funk, country, and a little hiphop. Three youths (Charlie, Chris, and Dave), heavily influenced by Creedence Clearwater Revival and Sublime and weary of not playing music decided that they should get involved, and so the band 'Jebus' was begotten in August 2012. The 3 played various stages and venues around the Northern Virginia area, before inducting a new member, Chuck, and thus becoming a 4-piece. The band released their album 'Birthday' on BMS (Bring Mommy the Scotch) Records in 2004. The band went on hiatus in 2007, yet still create music individually.
