Jan Nedved (born 24th September 1946 in Prague) is one of the most iportant czech folk singers/songwriters. His musical career has started in beat bands „The Three Long Fingers“, „The Preachers“. Since 1972 Jan plays in tramp band „Toronto“, which was renamed to „Brontosauri“ in 1974. Jan and his brother Frantisek are the central duo of this band. Since 1972 Jan plays in tramp band „Toronto“, which was renamed to „Brontosauri“ in 1974. Jan and his brother Frantisek are the central duo of this band.

At the same time Jan Nedved could be seen performing with another band – „Spiritual Kvintet“. Since 1988 Jan starts his single career. Since 1992 he plays with his brother again, and after 1996 he plays with „Brontosauri“ and „Pribuzni“ bands. Jan Nedvěd (narozen 24. září 1946 Praha) je jeden z nejvýznamnějších českých folkových a trampských písničkářů.

Svou hudební kariéru zahájil v beatových kapelách (The Three Long Fingers, The Preachers). Od roku 1972 působí v trampské kapele Toronto. Ta byla roku 1974 přejmenována na Brontosaury, v níž s bratrem Františkem tvořil ústřední duo. Paralelně s tím vystupoval se skupinou Spirituál kvintet.
