The John Góra Band - the Górale (Mountaineers) also known as The Music Factory (T.M.F.), has been performing for many years at various festivals, dances and special events throughout the USA and southern Ontario. John Gora Band can be a five, six or seven piece orchestra with instruments such as: sax, clarinet, trumpets, drums, bass, guitar, violin and of course vocals. Live music all the way no prerecorded - sequenced stuff. The band will adapt to almost any musical style that is called for at a specific venue. The John Gora Band records only polka CD's but when it comes to live events, you can expect anything and everything. A variety of music to suit North American audiences as well as ethnic flare which includes: Polish, Ukrainian, Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian, Italian and German.

To date the band has released a total of 7 recordings. "Ready for Takeoff", "Take a Spin", 1998 Grammy Nominated "Duty Free Polkas", 2000 Grammy Nominated "Follow Me", 2002 "Can-Am Polkas", Pangora's Box" 2004 Grammy nominated and in June/July 2007 "BULLETPROOF POLKAS". John Gora is a member of AFM (America Federation of Musicians) Local #293 Hamilton, Ontario and a voting member of USPA (United States Polka Association), IPA (International Polka Association), NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) and CARAS (Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences).
