J. Unit was a comedy rap group from Bristol, UK, formed in 2009. The group consisted of Oz Mosis, MC Adey P and G-Magz. The group formed shortly after MC Adey P and Oz Mosis began work on metalcore band Jenkins Theory's first studio EP. Adey P suggested the idea and Ozmo began work on beats in Logic Pro. Shortly after beginning work, the band recruited local rapper G-Magz and formed their most recognised song 'Mess Wit Uss'. In July 2009, the group performed in a talent show called Backwell Footlights and performed their hit single without G-Magz, due to his abscence at the time. In September 2009, the group began work on their first full-length album 'Representin'', which was released shortly before Christmas of the same year. The group performed their song 'Representin', pt.

2' live at their Sixth Form's leaving party in May 2010. This was their last performance before the tragic and untimely death of MC Adey P in October of the same year. Though the remaining members Oz Mosis and G-Magz have parted ways, Oz Mosis is still active in the Hip-Hop community, producing beats under the name The Etherealist. G-Magz is set to feature on A History of Violence's debut mixtape (a rap duo including The Etherealist) in 2014.
