J. lived in R.I. from ages 4-10, then moved and grew up in Levittown, N.J. He came back to R.I.
in 1968. J. Slick is a full time long time singer-entertainer working and living in the greater Providence area. Gigging heavily since the early 70s, Slick has fronted many popular area bands including, The Ovations, Back Issue, Funk Munks, Rockaholics, Interstate and JJ & the Marathons.
Slick worked several new england venues such as "the Tent" (Warwick Musical Theatre) and opened for such favorites as Fats Domino, ShaNaNa, Neil Sedaka and Danny & the Juniors. Former USMC and presently independent Christian Minister. Slick is married and he and his wife Carol live in Cumberland. He is a frequent perfomer at the local blues-jams and can be contacted by e-mail at email@example.com. Sings many genres... blues, soul, R&B, gospel, oldies, standards, more.
