Izalith draw influences from a wide range of music, from the post-rock stylings of Isis and Explosions in the Sky, to the dark soundscapes of Lustmord and beyond. Taken from the band's myspace page: "Izalith began in 1999 due to a combination of a Giger-esque surrealist painting, a Tool bass-line, and Prismacolour marker fumes nestling a new sound inside lien's head.

He has been feverishly seeking out this illusive portal for almost a decade now, gathering those few who can decipher his cryptic and circular ramblings and who believe it would be best to not leave such a creature alone to his own devices. What has resulted has not always been good. It has not always been pretty. It has not always been honest (not that we would lie to you, only ourselves).

It has typically been painful, and unrewarding. But it has always been an accurate reflection of the images fluttering like a broken strobe through our heads, our hearts, and our bodies, and hopefully, it always will be. We remain the dead star-flesh children of Mnemosyne. Please listen and feed-back (hold your instrument to the speakers and open your mouth).

Imitation is suicide. Thank you for your time." Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
