On 25 May 1975 Isabelle Adam aka Isabelle A was born in Gent. When she turned twelve, she was discovered by music producer Marc Van Beveren during a brio game. He decided to use the song 'On my own' from the Greek singer Nicca Costa, a song which took her to the highest places of the soundmixcircuit. At the BRT, Belgium's national TV broadcast, Isabelle had already been notable. She presented 'TV tam tam', interviewed other young people, sang the intro for the show and also sang Dutch-speaking topic-tied songs. In 1990, still very young, Isabelle had her break trough. with her first big hit ' hé lekker beest ', which stood for nine weeks at the number 1 position in the music charts which was enough for platinum.

Her second hit, 'ik weet wat ik wil', released in 1991, obtained gold. Isabelle's debut-CD 'Isabelle A' obtained platinum. In 1992 the album 'Zeventien' was released. Isabelle then released 'Interactve' with Theresa Platteau and Prince Far Out.
