Isaac Lockheart is a mysterious, reclusive figure in the world of music, living between the unsettled wilds of the north, the wastelands of Nebraska and the decadent pleasure domes of California. Never joining a major record lable, he has spent his career as a solo artist, though he has played with bands like SAOC, The Rick Johnson Experience, Oedipus Effect and Obstacle Corpse, generally adding greatly to each band's creativity, popularity and street cred. Rumor has it that Lockheart is beginning on a journey into the mystical Orient, to find where Alph, the sacred river, runs down to a sunless sea. It is there that Lockheart desires to "spend years soaking in the darkness and blackening [his] soul".

This would fit into a broader trend in Lockheart's career of going where Uncle Sam needs him the most and uncovering enigmas that have confounded the most brazen sinologists for centuries. It is also reported that his sojourn will include a stay in Okinawa where he will "spend time battling the greatest martial artists that happy island has spawned". Isaac Lockheart is well known as a skilled guitarist and a bold experimenter with musical styles, tinkering in Alternative Rock, Jazz, folk and Techno. Due to the shroud of mystery that hangs over Lockheart's career, many fans only hear about his concerts, shows and innovations by rumor, via shifty go-betweens. It is now speculated that his next work (due to come out in 2010) will be heavily influenced by Chinese, Mongolian and Japanese folk music.
