Inside Neon are the exponents of Munk. In 2010 the band released their debut album 'The Introduction Of Munk'. More About Inside Neon Inside Neon were formed in Tokyo in mid 2009. The band was founded by Rich Loffman, from Stourbridge in England. Vocalist and Guitarist Rich Loffman recruited Irish bassist Nat York, and Scottish drummer Dave Austin, to form a classic power-rock trio. Inside Neon are the exponents of Munk. In August 2009 the band recorded and released their first EP.
The Dog Gods EP. In November 2009 Inside Neon played their first show at Club24West in Yokohama. In Winter/Spring 2010 the band organized two Tribal Rock shows at Space With in Iidabashi, Tokyo, and then recorded their debut album. In June 2010 Inside Neon released their debut album 'The Introduction Of Munk'. Dave Austin left the band, but was replaced on drums by Chris Meggitt. In Autumn 2010 the band played three shows in Yokohama and Tokyo. This mini tour was dubbed the Munk Tour 2010. 11th October 2010. Inside Neon's Bassist, Nat York regrettably left the band to focus on the arrival of his second child. Nat had been with the band since its inception. Rich has been an inspiration, I wish them, and any new members, all the best with the next album and beyond, see you around" In November 2010 Inside Neon acquired the services of Jeremy Eastwood from labelmates Distant Earth. Jeremy played bass on the Oceans EP. Feb 2011. Release of the Oceans EP and Radical Citizens video. Spring 2011.
The band received airplay on various radio stations around the world and also became a supported artist on Head Case Radio. The track Oceans was the lead off track for one of the podcasts. April 2011. Inside Neon announced summer tour dates and original bassist Nat York returned to the band. June to August 2011. Raphael Antoine officially joined as a second guitarist, taking some of the lead guitar duties from Rich Loffman, for the Radicals Tour 2011.
Inside Neon played 5 dates in Tokyo including their first all acoustic show at the Pink Cow in Shibuya. August 2011. Raphael Antoine left the band in return to his native France. The band brought in Teruhisa Yamaura, guitarist with Remedy's Library. September 2011. Five date Radicals Tour Part 2 announced.
Including an appearance at Design Festa's outdoor stage. The end of 2011 was wrapped up with shows in Yokohama and Akasaka. 2012 Winter through Spring 2012. Inside Neon began the year working on what would be their 2nd album. Spring through Summer 2012. The band played The Cold Sunshine Tour.

"We love all forms of rock and we want to create music with energy and passion, and to draw from as many influences as possible whilst retaining a classic alternative rock sound. Rich’s song-writing is heavily influenced by grunge and punk aesthetics, as well as classic rock, metal, Brit-rock and new wave.
To that end we have dubbed our sound as both ‘Dark Rock’ (reflecting the Rich's latent Goth influences) and ‘Munk’ (a fusion of the works punk and metal). After hearing the early recordings of the song Losing Gravity, Rich joked to the other band members, Nat and Dave, that “we sound like a punk band playing metal, we should call it Munk”."
