After 2 years of studies drummer/percussionist Jon Vinson returned from MI in California to complete the group. Their debut album, Murmur was released on July 9th, 2005. On February 12, 2006, The band officially announced it's split with founding member Doug Bjornholm, who decided amicably to move on to other projects. With a large opening to fill, In Winter asked their good friend Angel, who was well known for his time as drummer for the Genitorturers, to temporarily fill in on keys. But what was intended to be a temporary solution ended up proving Angel to be just the person In Winter needed. After just a few performances, it was decided the band's chemistry was the strongest it had ever been, and the band decided to keep Angel as a permanent member. In Winter parted ways late 2006 due to creative differences.
Their album is still available through Kara Hill's new bands' website. www.azurenoir.com Azure Noir is now on last.fm www.last.fm/music/azure+noir Their sound is electronic and trip hop with the same hauting voice that In Winter captured.
