HuskaVarna officially got going in 1998 formed by guitarist/lead vocalist Billington and bassist Gavin. These days, HuskaVarna are ripping their way upwards with a raft of their own material and unique takes on 20 year old covers that get the crowd drowing in their own pools of sweat. HuskaVarna has been playing steadily in BC and Washington State, and finally the rest of Canada. Having yet to grow up themselves, HuskaVarna are a big hit with the teen market.

They have shared the stage with such notables as GOB, SNFU, Another Joe, the Torture King, DBS, SIDE 67, BY A THREAD, Belvedere, Dayglo Abortions and the Supersuckers. Not to mention a cross-country tour with labelmates Wishing Well. In 1999, HuskaVarna was chosen by Molson Canadian for a feature in a round of "Molson Canadian Rocks" commercials, earned a sponsorship deal with FOX & SHIFT motorcycle apparel and achieved spots on "The Roops of Hazard" snowmobiling video, the "Test of Metal" mountain biking video and "Roach's Extreme BMX Video". On Feb 6th 2000, the Pemberton punks were featured on Much Music. HuskaVarna's spot featured a live clip of their performance at Merlin's Bar in Whistler during the World Cup Ski & Snowboard Festival (from Dec 1999). VJ Chris Nelson took the boys snowboarding on Blackcomb Mountain the next day so he could interview them while they showed their stuff. HuskaVarna's debut CD "MUSIC FOR PORNOS" was released on SPAWNER RECORDS in May 2000.

The CD features a cover shot and guest appearance by Sept 98 Penthouse Pet Fawnia (aka Sexy Lexy). Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply..
