When he was still a teenager he moved back to Paris. There he had met Daniel Cordier who became his guardian. Herve Vilard loved music and took singing lessons. When he was spotted by an artistic director (Jean Moulin) in 1965 he had recorded his first forty-five rounds: ''Capri C'est Fini,'' The title met a huge success and propelled the young man on the scene. That success had allowed him his 1st album and was making his 1st tour in France,Europe, and South America.

In the beginning of the seventies he had moved to Buenos Aires (Argentina) and continued his career in Latin America until 1978. It was the year of his return to France with the title ''We'' composed by Toto Cutugno. That return was followed by a ton of other successes. Herve Vilard is a favorite of the French.
